I-Proud

 I-Proud

In room 19, We have been doing some awesome art with Mrs Hardaker! The art that we have been doing is called "I-Proud". If you are wandering what I am talking about, Stop thinking because I am going to show you a few pictures of room 19's I-Proud art!!!!!

The Pictures

Making The Art!!!

Firstly, we were told by Mrs Hardaker that we going to do art. The art was I-Proud. Every member of room 19 were confused at first. Moments later we were told what I-Proud was. What it is, is that on a coloured sheet of paper you need to have a pic of yourself. The pic needs to be just under the Parkvale School logo on your t-shirt, All the way to the top of your head. When we had taken the pic, we were told to send the picture to Mrs Hardaker, Mrs.H would print it out and give it to us. After we had been given the photo, We chose a colored sheet of paper out of: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green and lastly Light and Dark Blue. As you can see in the pictures above, I chose light blue. After that you needed a glue-stick. The glue-stick was necessary because on the sheet of paper you had to stick on the pic of yourself, After you had cut it out of course. Once that was done it was time for the menu button, [ You can see it in the pictures above.] Which would go underneath the pic of yourself. Afterwards Mrs.H curved the corners so that it would look a bit more fancy!!!!

And there you have it!
I-Proud art!!!

What The Art Meant.
The art was called I-Proud because, The menu button underneath the photo was there because on an iPod you can tune the music however you want it to be. So if we put our picture on top of the iPod menu button instead of the screen, It would look like that your pic is the screen and the menu button together would look like an iPod. The menu button is there so....

" WE CAN TUNE OURSELVES INTO A GREAT YEAR".

With the menu button you could pretend to press the play button and tune yourself into a great year!!!

My Emotion LOVE Poem

WALT explore a variety of poetry structure and language features to be able to create our own creative poems.

This is my emotive poem.

Room 19 made these emotion poems on Valentines day. Most of the class did love poems and that included me. We could choose to decorate it however we wanted to. I choose to decorate it by writing it in red and putting red hearts above the poem and below the poem. I decided to use creative words like instead of using big I used HUGE and so on. I hope you enjoy reading my emotion LOVE POEM. If you did please comment.

LOVE

Love smells like candles melting away
Love looks like a couple deep down in love
Love feels like one huge warm hug
Love tastes like a chocolate rose
Love sounds like two little love birds have a smooch!!!!
Love is the color of the love hearts down below… RED!!!

Anubis: The Egypt God Of Final Judgement

Anubis: The God Of Final Judgement

In room 20 we have been learning about Ancient Egypt. Our class is trying their best to become Ancient Egypt experts. The only way we could become Ancient Egypt experts was to learn about what they did in Egypt and to add some colour. That means we had a chance to do art.

My art is to do with Ancient Egypt Gods. My Gods name is: ANUBIS. He is the God of          "FINAL JUDGEMENT."

Here is a website to show some of the Egyptian art that room 20 has been doing. Click here to go on to that website. http://art-educ4kids.weebly.com/egyptian-art.html.

This is a photo of my God art and the real one.

Room 20 Egyptian Cartouches

This is room 20 kids Egyptian Cartouche art.
Cartouches are like nameplates that go on coffins. Egyptians use symbols called HIEROGLYPHICS instead of letters. The symbols mean what your name sounds like in phonetic letters.  The Ancient Egyptians had applied rope to the outside of the cartouche to keep out the evil spirits. My artwork has 5 symbols. My real name is N-I-K-I-T-A but because it has to be what it sounds like in phonetic letters it is N-K-E-T-A.

Now that you know what a cartouche is I hope that you will have a go at home or wherever you get an opportunity to do one.

Here is a page of “ HIEROGLYPHICS ” to help you make and design your own cartouche.

So what are you waiting for, get creative and make your own cartouche that can say whatever you want it to.
